On Saturday, September 20th, the annual Great Road Day offers visitors the unique opportunity to take a journey through 300 years of history along one of the oldest highways in the country, the Great Road in Lincoln. Several historic sites are open that day and admission requires only an interest in, or curiosity about, history.

Read MoreA celebration of Flag Day will be held at Lincoln's Pullen's Corner Schoolhouse at Chase Farm Park on Sunday, June 8th starting at 1:00 pm. The one-day event includes a curated exhibit of unique historic flags displayed at the historic one-room schoolhouse, both inside and out. Historian Kirk Hindman will explain the history of each of the flags from his collection that includes regimental, American, and state flag examples.

This popular exhibit includes an extensive display of wedding attire that ranges from 1850-2000. The attractive displays feature floral touches and special attention to the finest details, such as a wedding party at the altar, a reception in the dining room, hope chests brimming with linens hand embroidered by prospective brides, and suitcases packed with vacation attire for the honeymoon trip.
