For kids ages 5 and older, this ornament-making activity takes place inside the historic one-room Pullen's Corner Schoolhouse. Children will embark on a creative journey with the help of period-dressed docents. They will learn about the origins of beloved Christmas traditions while crafting their own decorations to share with their family. It's a perfect blend of history and festive fun. The cost is $5 per child.
For adults, the activity takes place next door to the schoolhouse at the Visitors Center. Staff members will guide the crafting of more elaborate and sophisticated Christmas decorations, while still allowing for individual creativity. Fan ornaments, stars, Christmas cones and paper chains are all part of these timeless decorations with a touch of elegance. The cost is $10 per person.
Since there is limited space available at both activities, advance reservation and tickets are advisable to secure a spot. Reservations are every 30 minutes starting at 1 pm with the last at 3:30 pm.
